Quick and easy, barbecued fish makes a simple and nutritious weekday meal.

  • 2 lemons, rind finely grated, juiced
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 4 x 300g blue eye travalla/cod fillets
  • Lemon wedges, to serve
  • Salad, to serve


  • Step 1
    Combine the lemon rind and juice with white wine, chopped fresh dill and chopped fresh chives in a glass or ceramic dish.
  • Step 2
    Add blue eye travalla/cod fillets to the wine mixture and turn to coat. Set aside for 30 minutes to marinate, then drain.
  • Step 3
    Heat a barbeque or chargrill pan over a medium-high heat. Add the fish and cook for 5-7 minutes each side or until it flakes with a fork. Serve with lemon wedges and a salad of rocket, avocado and cucumber.
