  • 6-8 flathead fillets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • Salt & pepper, to season


  • Step 1
    Place plain flour in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Coat cleaned and dried fish in flour.
  • Step 2
    In a frypan, combine butter, oil and garlic, over low-medium heat until melted.
  • Step 3
    Increase heat to medium and add fish to frypan. Cook for 1-2 minutes each side. Serve with salad or steamed vegetables.
